I first became interested in oriental culture when I took up martial arts at age 13. Later in life, this interest led me to train in shiatsu, the Japanese style of therapeutic massage and bodywork. After three years of training I attained a Licentiate Diploma in 2002 and established a busy professional practice, working alongside Osteopaths and Massage Therapists.
My drive to deepen my understanding of the theoretical roots of shiatsu led me to embark on a Bachelor of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. After three years further study at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, I qualified as an acupuncturist in 2006.
Since then, I have continued to develop professionally by attending further advanced courses, including with Dr. Tan, a master of acupuncture who developed his own style called ‘The Balance Method’, whose techniques are famous for achieving very quick results for pain relief.
Today, I work in private practice in Bath, Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge.
